Wearable Technology

Wearable technology, smarter, wearables, techies, electronic gadgets, fashion electronics, skins, or even smart electronics are all smart electronic items that are wearable close to the body and/or attached to the skin, and sometimes even connected to the brain. This includes everything from digital watches to pacemakers. Wearable technology is the next evolution in personal technology. It is taking the form of everyday objects, like walking sticks, bracelets, necklaces, hairbrushes, earrings, watches, glasses, and pens, into amazing new wearable science Experiences. It’s changing our lifestyles and changing the way we do work, play, and communicate.

Both smart electronic items that are portable next to the body and/or linked to or under the skin and often also connected to the brain are wearable technology or intelligent electronics. The next evolution of personal technology is wearable technology. It takes the shape of ordinary items, such as canes, bracelets, necklaces, watches, eyeglasses, and pens, through incredible learning cultures of wearable science. It affects our lifestyles and alters the way we work and connect.

Wearable technology is rapidly transforming into a major category of the Internet of things – with life-altering applications in healthcare, entertainment, science, and more. Also called wearables or smart-suits, this growing field of technology allows for the transformation of our world into a computer’s world. This emerging field of technology means that the user’s body becomes a portable data interface with the ability to send electronic data and information back and forth between human operators and external devices. Also referred to as smart-suits, this new type of technology allows for the movement and non-free mobility of people through the body – even while wearing protective clothing.

What does wearable technology mean to you? Currently, wearable technology systems and devices allow for total freedom of movement, from the movement in the external environment to within the body itself. As technology progresses, these wearable devices will enable users to communicate verbally, to be able to surf the Internet, watch, and record video, and use handheld electronic devices such as cameras and cellular phones with much greater ease and comfort than ever before. Additionally, this technology will enable users to be less constrained by body size and posture, which will revolutionize how surgeons perform surgery. In fact, when someone is looking into getting breast augmentation, it’s a good idea to take a look at the new implant technologies available and what the surgeon can do to make your operation more comfortable and pain-free.

The next wave of wearable technology will be smart devices like wearable monitors, digital signage, cell phones, computers, watches, and medical alert systems that integrate and provide an on-demand, real-time health report directly to the wearer. These technologies will enable the monitoring and tracking of a variety of physical aspects of a person’s body. Ultimately, this new class of technology will transform the way doctors and healthcare professionals interact with their patients. The more we learn about how technology is changing the way that surgery is done, the more we will benefit from it.
